MIAMI ALL STARS win the HOLIDAY HOOPS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 2009
The MIAMI ALL STARS won the tournament winning all the 5 games against difficult opponents and in overtime the championship game.
The team gave priority to team-playing which carried them to victory and first place. Afterwards, the whole group played a game at the AA ARENA before the MIAMI HEAT/JAZZ GAME.
In addition there were many winners in different competitions and all received awards and trophies. Don Kelbick gave an outstanding basketball clinic to the yougsters teaching them how to improve their basketball skills

A special event took place on October 1, 2009 in which the Mayor issued a special proclamation and recognition to the Miami All Stars for their work with the youth in Miami.
Players, friends, parents, and supporters attended this special event to receive this significant proclamation.
Thank you to the Miami Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez, Chairman Dennis C. Moss, and the Commisioners of Miami Dade County for this recognition

CHRISTIAN GARRIDO - The starting guard for ST. BRENDAN HIGH SCHOOL that average 22 points per game will be paying a guard position in the game.

THE BATTLE OF THE ATLANTIC TOOK PLACE THIS PAST AUGUST 2008 WHEN MEMBERS OF THE LONDON ALL STARS PLAYED A SERIES OF GAMES AGAINST THE MIAMI ALL STARS DURING A WEEK OF BASKETBALL, FRATERNIZING, CULTURAL EXCHANGE AND LEARNING TO PLAY AGAINST A EUROPEAN TEAM.
THIS EVENT WAS VERY SIGNIFICANT SINCE IT WILL INITIATE AN EXCHANGE PROGRAM THAT WILL TAKE THE MIAMI ALL STARS TO LONDON NEXT YEAR TO PLAY A SERIES OF GAMES. CONGRATULATIONS ON THE MIDNIGHT MADNESS LONDON ALL STARS FOR TRAVELING TO MIAMI AND PLAYING WITH THE MIAMI ALL STARS
Miami All Stars
announces the start of a Scholarship Fund for its members and participants. Educations is a priority for the Miami All Stars and one of its goals is that all members graduate form High School and go on to College. in order to support its members. Scholarships will be available for the academic year of 2007-2008 for all those members that graduate from High School and desire to attend College.
Applications and more information will be available in the spring of 2008
Congratulations!!! to coach/director Carlos Alamilla who was selected coach of the year by the NBA/JR.NBA/WNBA.this award is very special since it was given only to 30 coaches nationwide among the 75,000 that participate in the JR.NBA program. the award is given to a coash that is dedicated and committed to developing young players on and off the court and emphasizes sportmenship, discipline, leadership, positive mental attitude and academics.
On April 27, 2007 during the playoff game between the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls coach Alamilla received the JR.NBA COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD given to 30 coaches nationwide among the 75000 coaches that participate in the NBA program

What are the Miami All Stars about??
The organization is a non-profit corporation under the laws of the State of Florida
and its goal is to promote the game of basketball with an emphasis on
sportmanship, leadership, respect, positive mental attitude, nutrition, self-esteem
and attend School on a regular basis.
The organizations has several events throughout the year encompassing the
NBA Champions Miami Heat, Tournaments, and basketball Camps training sessions.
The organization is part of the JR.NBA/WNBA PROGRAM
